Dr Oz: Gary Taubes: Man Who Thinks Everything Dr Oz Says Is Wrong

Dr Oz: Gary Taubes: Man Who Thinks Everything Dr Oz Says Is Wrong

Gary Taubes vs Dr Oz

Dr Oz’s show on June 21, 2011 is called The Man Who Thinks Everything Dr Oz Says Is Wrong. Who could this man be? None other than Gary Taubes. Doctor Oz’s approach towards weight loss and diets differ from Taubes’ beliefs. For example, Dr Oz has often promoted the benefits of eating complex carbs, while eliminating “white foods” like white flour and white sugar. However, Gary Taubes thinks that we should stop eating all carbohydrates… even complex carbs! Taubes also believes that all fats are good fats, whereas Dr Oz warns us to avoid saturated fats. Who do you think is right? Dr Oz or Gary Taubes? Leave a comment below with your thoughts! And here is a link to a full recap of what Gary Taubes disagreed with Dr Oz on: Dr Oz & Gary Taubes.

Dr Oz: Yellow Eyelid Patches, Orange Skin & Blue Fingernails

Doctor Oz also did a segment on 3 colors that your body should never turn. Look out for blue nails, which could be a sign of heart disease or lung disease, yellow eyelid patches that could be an indication of high cholesterol and orange skin that can mean you have Hypothyroidism. Dr Oz: Algae Oil

Dr Oz played a game called Got A Bad Habit? There’s A Pill For That, which was an interesting discussion of pills that can protect your health while helping you to quit your bad habits. Algae Oil is a great supplement to take if you often skip exercising, because it can increase your HDL Cholesterol that prevents Heart Disease. Vitamin E is the supplement of choice for people who go in the sun, because it helps to prevent sunburns. Folic Acid helps to lower the amino acids in your body, which can be important if you drink lots of coffee. And Chromium is the best supplement for people with a sweet tooth, because it helps protect you from insulin sensitivity.
