More than years, doctors informed their patients to never examine in the dark because you’ll damage your eyes. Annette, an audience participant, told Dr Oz that she seemed to be told that looking at in the dark would fit a strain on the eyes.

Dr Oz says that what actually happens is that the muscle tissue behind the eyes let the lens to adapt to bring in more or less light. Sometimes the muscles strain and you get bloodshot little brown eyes or eyestrain, but it will not do lasting deterioration. Some believe that looking at in the dark burns this muscles and Dr Oz states that is not true.
When you Hold Your Head Time for Stop A Nasal Bleed?

Myth A couple of: Hold your head time for stop a bleeding nose. MYTH! This kind of myth can actually become dangerous to your wellbeing. Many hold their heads back just as if gravity will stop the flow, but doing this may cause more harm.

Megan, an audience member, stated that she had chronic nosebleeds and she or he tilted head back as per the doctor’s orders. Dr Oz states that this method may work, even so, it is not the best way to go.

Cathy, an audience member, told Dr Oz that she has 2 teens and was constantly dealing with cuts and bruises. When her little ones got cuts, she would clean the wound and let it dry by itself.
Dr Oz says that if you don’t work with a bandage on the wound, our bodies has to make its own covering (a scab). The actual scab grows because it’s confronted with dry air and after that forces the cells apart, which causes significantly slower healing on the wound. Instead, place a bandage on a wound to keep it in a moist environment to allow for the tissue to get together instead of growing a part. This will allow the lower to heal naturally and faster. (Also you can use antibacterial creams.)
Should You Put Ice On Burns?

Fable 4: Treat a burn with ice. MYTH! This may basically damage the skin all around your tissue a lot more. Carrie, an audience new member, stated that she provides always used ice-cubes for her burns since doctors (and mother) have told her to do this.

According to Dr Oz, do NOT place ice with any type of burn. If you put ice about the wound, you build a chemical reaction within the skin that causes far more damage than the burn up in the first place. Instead, to lessen the inflammation around the skin tone, place your hand (and the burned area) within cold water for 20 minutes. Also, get ibuprofen.
