Rachael Ray Penne A La Vodka Recipe

Directions:

1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter, extra virgin olive oil, shallots and garlic.

2. Cook for 3-5 minutes and then add vodka to the pan. Rachael Ray said that three turns around the pan in a steady stream comes out to around 1 cup of vodka, but I always measure.

3. Let the sauce reduce in half for a few minutes.

4. Add the tomatoes and chicken stock to your pan.

5. Let your sauce come to a bubble and then reduce the heat to a simmer.

6. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.

7. Meanwhile, cook your pasta according to the directions on the box or until it is al dente.

8. Mix the cream into the pasta sauce, and let it come back up to a bubble.

9. Remove the sauce from the heat and toss the hot pasta in the sauce.

10. Sprinkle chopped up basil leaves on top and serve with crusty bread.
